I have been on the road since the first week of January. Europe once, Brazil twice, Mexico, events across the US, client meetings, nonstop calls and conversations, and a front-row seat to how businesses are reacting to the AI wave.
One thing has become very clear to me. AI is still the biggest buzzword in business right now, yet most companies still don’t fully understand what they actually need from it.
With the speed of new models and tools, the possibilities are honestly insane. Today, someone can build a high-quality website in 48 hours that would have cost thousands of dollars not long ago. (Haven’t tried? I did. It’s crazy.) The barrier to building technology is lower than ever.
Education matters more than ever
That also means education matters more than ever. A lot of companies now believe they “need AI” at all costs. The reality is that many organizations first need to understand process automation, workflow automation, operational efficiency, and that old buzzword “digital transformation” before jumping into generative AI initiatives.
Not every problem requires AI.
- 01You don’t need generative AI to modernize your operations.
- 02You don’t need AI to improve workflows.
- 03You don’t need AI to become more efficient.
What AI has really changed
What AI has really done is accelerate and democratize technology adoption.
For the first time, companies in almost any industry can realistically operate with the mindset and capabilities of a technology company. The tools are more accessible, implementation is faster, and innovation is no longer reserved for large enterprises with huge engineering teams.
The companies that will win aren’t the ones shouting “AI” the loudest. They’ll be the ones that understand where AI actually creates leverage, and where solid operational foundations matter more.
The future belongs to businesses that combine technology, automation and human strategy the right way.
